Cassia obovata (also known as neutral henna) is a naturally growing plant found in the regions of Egypt and Nubia.

What are the benefits of Cassia?

• Adds golden tones to blond or gray hair
• Adds a strawberry blonde color when mixed with henna and applied to blond or gray hair
• Can thicken, strengthen and add shine to hair when used to condition

Usage:

To dye hair:

• Add orange or lemon juice and blend until the paste has a yogurt like appearance.
• Let the paste sit for 12 hours (the dye will release this way)
• Apply to wet hair making sure to cover each hair section, cover in plastic and let sit for 3 hours.
• Rinse or co-wash out.

To condition hair:

• Create a cassia paste using some of the following ingredients: yogurt, a favorite hair oil, green tea, honey/glycerine, essential oils.
• Apply to wet hair covering all sections.
• Wrap in plastic and let sit for 1 hour.
• Rinse or co-wash out.
